Do One Thing Today

My Love Note

Curing The Need To “Arrive”

Maybe it’s just me, but I have this desire to have already arrived at the doorstep of my dreams…. Yesterday. So, here’s how I learned to honor the inner pull in all of us by listening and honoring the things that set us on fire even when we feel like we should have “arrived” already.

Turn your speakers on and have a listen. You just might learn something, think of a new idea, approach a situation differently, laugh, and even inspire yourself to do one thing!

Write Yourself A Love Note

What one thing can you do today to move yourself forward? How can you nurture yourself?

I wrote a love note to myself. I got the idea because I asked what I would do for another person to help them feel loved, valued, and honored? This love note is something that I knew amidst the critic in all of us, would help me to remember who I really am. I even bought special paper and played my favorite music while I wrote.

Sometimes moving forward means taking a couple of steps you hadn’t planned on. Sometimes it means doing something that leads you to no real destination. You simply do it because it feels good and in turn, that in itself propels you forward.

What One Thing Will You Do Today?

  • What makes you feel good? Do it
  • Who makes you feel valued? Be with them!
  • What makes you feel alive? Get into it!
  • What makes you feel purposeful? Do it.
  • What makes you feel creative and expressive? Create it!
  • What have you always wanted to do? Take one step toward it.
  • Listen to your heart.
