I asked myself “How do I write more consistently” and then my brain answered:
“You just do.”
My goal during the coming months is to share short meanderings and curiosities about life via my blog to get back in the flow of organic and authentic writing.
Writing that doesn’t have a destination.
Writing that tickles the curiosities of the soul.
The kind of writing that transports me in time and thrusts me into a magical sort of flow state that I love feeling.
I’ve committed myself to doing things with greater consistency and the only way to do things consistently is by actually PLANNING for them… So I’ll be dedicating the first waking hour of my day to writing these blog posts. No more and no less than an hour. I find that if I push myself to write MORE, I burn out and end up not wanting to write the next day. I want to feel excited about this sacred time at the start of my day. When it’s over, I want to appreciate it. I want to miss it. I want to know it’s for me and I want a clear beginning and end point so that my creativity has a time and place for self-expression.
I give myself permission to be imperfect, to fill the space where fears and insecurities about sharing lie and replace them with curiosity and honor because I get to document my life and this very moment through writing. I’ll never live another day like this and I want to document and remember it for what it is. My aim is to write for myself and I hope that as you follow along, you find value in it where you need as well.
I believe in no excuses and accountability. So, I’ll be holding myself accountable by sharing them right to my blog and social media.
I like to trust that life gives us what we need when we need it. Maybe you’ve let something go that really helped you or that you loved, too. I like to think that maybe this will inspire you to find your own creative and expressive love, too. I’m excited to see where this takes me. I look forward to learning about myself and to looking back at a record of a tiny piece of time in my life.
Have you been keeping yourself from the life you want to live? Or maybe you hadn't really thought about what's possible for you until now.
